Beautiful hotel. The hotel is located right on the U of Maine campus. School was closed for the summer, so not a lot of people around.

We had an amazing stay and loved how close it was to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! Would recommend to anyone planning a trip to Downeast Maine.

We had an excellent experience staying at this cottage. The room itself was small, and there were a few maintenance issues like the property towel rod and a few other items falling off, but overall the experience was wonderful. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The beds were super comfortable, the towels were high quality, and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. It was beautifully presented and brought right to the room, which made the experience even more special. The toilet was definitely a unique experience and seemed to be one of the older styles. Personally, I did not love it, but it added to the character of the place in its own way. The cottage has such a lively and charming vibe, with a beautiful front porch to relax on and a lovely reception area with an old-time feel. The location is also excellent, within walking distance to downtown cafés as well as the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you enjoy charming and cozy places with character.

Very beautiful and clean hotel. Everything looks brand new and well maintained. Staff were extremely polite and friendly. The restaurant food and service was superb as well. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the room we stayed in was too loud for me. We were located right next to a stairwell that the door was being opened and closed repeatedly, plus the room was located right above the bustling street. The traffic noise started before 5am and the conversations of the foot traffic went well into the late night making it difficult to go to sleep. I would recommend staying at this hotel, but if I were to stay again I would specify that I want an interior room away from the street and any stairs.

Whitehall is an old lodge a few blocks from the center of Camden. Road noise can be heard from Route 1, which passes directly in front. Our room was on the ground level and the sound of people walking in the room overhead was an annoying. The common areas are spacious. The breakfast room would seat 100 people, but we were the only people having breakfast. The breakfast was weird, and we had only a tasteless croissant, an orange and coffee. We should have gone into town for those blueberry pancakes. The place needs some TLC, but is an interesting place to stay. I would go back with a second floor room away from the highway and skip the breakfast.
