“This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed.……

“Nice property. Close to metro stop.Easy access to centre in 10 mins. At busy periods the 2 lifts were slow. Breakfast was the same everyday. On some days of our week's stay, replenishment of the food was slow and the coffee machines ran out regularly and staff were slow to fix.”

“Staff was super helpful, bed was comfortable, hot water worked perfectly, everything I could ask for, really. The only reason I am knocking one star off is due to our room being street facing and a lot of cars pass by, if you are a light sleeper this may be an issue.”

“Our room was clean & quiet. The breakfast was good, though there were no free tables on our first morning - a party of 40 french tourists all wanted to eat at the same time so very busy & very noisy. They all left around the same time so the restaurant became much quieter. On our second day the environment was much more relaxed, quieter & much easy to find an unoccupied table.”
