“Lovely location with seaside within 1 min and a stream just next to our apartment. Loved the birds and sunset viewing. Minimal road noise in unit 5. Clean room. Comfortable beds. Newly renovated bathroom and toilet. Full kitchen appliances and shared BBQ facilities. It just lacks some cooking utensils: baking dish to use in the oven, big salad bowl and a cover for the frying pan. “the hotel provided me a two bedroom apartment duo to I was the last person to check-in. It was a short stay. Room is good however without air condition, feeling cold. a heater is not enough for the room. I suggest they should have air condition in the apartment. The reception staff is kind and warm-heart. “We all thought 1st impression it was a very cute house. Very tidy and had everything provided for you. The host was very nice and just a phone call away. One thing that was mentioned was the number of the house wasnt visible for a taxi to know which house it was to pick us up at. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would tell friends of this cottage if they need to stay in Waihi.”

“This was an excellent place to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host and several dogs! The tiny house was in a paddock with sheep, a horse and chickens but was so peaceful. It was very clean and comfortable and, although compact, it had everything we needed including some breakfast items. We enjoyed listening to the birds and loved it so much that we wished we had been staying longer. If you want a peaceful retreat, this is the place to go.”
