Casa Ona is situated 500m from Playa Manzanares, one of several safe, sandy beaches making up 7km of beach along the Mar Menor. It is also a short walk to cafes, restaurants, shops, parks, and bars. Nearby, aside from the 7km of safe, sandy beaches and the 5km promenade, are several parks including children’s play areas, local shops, cafes, and each Tuesday there is a local market at the end of the road. There are also several large supermarkets including Aldi, Lidl, and Mercadona. Close by is a municipal pool (indoor & outdoor) in case you want a change from the beach. Los Alcázares has many excellent restaurants, and is also home to the largest urban art museum in Europe, a map of which can be obtained from the tourist information office.

A little further away are the cities of Cartagena and Murcia both offering culture and history, shopping, and more. Wild flamingos can be seen in the pink lakes at nearby San Pedro de Pinatar, and don’t miss the mud baths at Las Charcas.
