"We had the most magnificent room set back up the hill away from the road. We had a weka wandering outside our front sliding door. The staff in the dining room were professional but also friendly and chatty which we enjoy. This hotel is quality in every way. A do not miss for a very reasonable price! "
"In the cover photo is looks like the hut is secluded, but the owners house is just out of the image. No problem for me, but people that were seeking seclusion may not realize this.In the kitchen I couldn't wash some of the dishes easily because of the dish brush. I suggest putting in a brush with a long handle. I could clean the bottom of the coffee cup for example. Otherwise this place would get a 5 star cleaning rating.The place is overall fantastic. It has charm, its presentation was immaculate, and it was beyond cosy. I would hope to stay again."

"Owner and property manager provided all details up front, self check in easy. We knew they would sssist promptly if any issues, we had no issues at all. Fully equipped, easy walking distance to lighthouse and seal colony viewing and a beach walk. Super quiet, except the wonderful pounding of the ocean waves. We would return in a minute. "
