"Charming B&B! Area is lovely (although it was raining during our stay so we didn’t get as much of a chance to enjoy the location as we would have liked… but it IS breathtaking.) On the bay, lovely walk to town … couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful spot! Hosts are wonderful people … homemade bread and jams, fruit, yogurt and assorted cereals for breakfast… would recommend Dovecote to everyone!"

"We had a wonderful two nights stay here - especially since we walked to dinner both nights and there are so many restaurants just a few blocks away. Out also quite close to downtown Auckland, the harbor and Sky Tower. The room itself was fine - had everything that was advertised. There was even a cute little courtyard right outside our unit of we had wanted to linger (we didn’t as we were only there two days and had so much we wanted to see and do)."

"After a confusing start (the property isn’t marked nor was parking, and I couldn’t find the owner,) we were shown to our studio. It was immaculate, with spare, but nice furnishings. Everything was comfortable, and the blackout shades appreciated. We found the amenities a bit lacking. No toiletries, beyond liquid soap, provided and only instant coffee. "We booked through Hotels.com well in advance of our visit but on arrival Bryan was not expecting us. Fortunately there was a room available. A nice continental breakfast was left out for us which was cereal, croissant, apple puffs or toast. We had a decent sized room with bathroom and toilet down the corridor. This would have been shared but there were no other residents when we stayed. The bed was very comfortable. Bryan was v. helpful and provided a list of local restaurants and take always."
