Staff was ok, but I was offered food, then told I needed to pay for it with an outdated payment method (cash) which I didn't have and couldn't get. I explained my issue with ATMs on the island and reception did not show any compassion and didn't care.

Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. Two days prior to arrival, I was sent an email form w/ one of the questions asking when we'd be arriving. I selected the noon-2pm option & we arrived at 12:30pm. We were told that we were going to have to wait until 3pm to be taken to our villa. Check in had been advertised as 3pm, so I'm not exactly sure why they even provided a noon-2pm option on the form - it was misleading & set wrong expectations. They took our luggage to the villa & told us we could utilize the pool or beach while we waited. Well, our bathing suits were in our luggage so they had to fetch our luggage so we could change into our bathing suits. 3pm rolls around and no word. We ask at the pool bar & someone comes to us at 3:15pm to let us know we would be picked up in about 15min. Having to wait until AFTER the advertised check in time when we had been waiting 3hrs was extremely irritating. Another disappointment was the lack of bathroom toiletries that would be default at other places of this cost. Blackout blinds on 3 walls of windows but not the 4th in the bedroom. The view, privacy, activities, & hostess were great.

Room and view was pretty standard, but did not warrant the price that i paid for it. The room was tired and is in need of an update. The lift didn't work and seemed like it hadn't for a while. A kettle would have been better than a silly machine. A clothes airer would have been good for swimwear. The customer service of the staff really needs to improve, not friendly, not willing to help with questions and not knowledgeable about the local area. Especially at Carnival, a time that tourists come to visit, there was no information or anything. When i asked the staff didn't know... However, with a lack of other accommodation options - this could be the best one from a bad bunch! However, i can't fault the dive shop staff - they were brillaint and really helpful!

Chef Hussein creates miracle dishes infused with creativity, precision, and so much heart — every meal feels personal and prepared with care and love. The five course Valentine’s Day dinner was an extraordinary masterpiece. A true fine dining experience in both taste and presentation, one would find in the finest restaurants. Chef Banda is equally remarkable — consistently excellent and always eager to make guests happy, no matter the request. Their care and dedication transformed dining into one of the highlights of our stay. They also went far above and beyond to accommodate my special dietary restrictions. Located conveniently to downtown and surrounding sights which were not far by car Would be great if host provided restaurant recommendations in the room Only negative is there us no hottub at the pool (I thought the small pool was a hottub) and the hot water for shower is wonky otherwise great stay
