“Nice quiet place for a great price! Barely saw the neighbors in the big house. Cabin is nice inside and faces east so can see the sunrise and in the back of the property is a nice open green space to walk the dogs and can see the sunset. My only gripe is the water quality it has a metallic smell and taste so I suggest bring your own water. ”

“The setting and grounds were lovely as was the house itself. There is nice separation between social areas upstairs and sleeping areas downstairs. The support staff responded to a request to check a smoke alarm within minutes and returned with supplies we mentioned were in short supply. Already planning our next visit.”

“Wonderful host. Communication was fantastic. Our family really enjoyed the view and the house. All of us had a great time. Close proximity to restaurants and WalMart. Wish it was warmer so we could enjoy the lake, maybe next time. ”

“We loved our stay at the Lake Melissa Cabin! The house was beautiful with everything you need. The property outdoor was really nice. We especially loved the fenced in part if the yard. We took our dog Moose with us. We took him out there and were able to play ball with him off leash.We have family in the area and will definitely be back!”

“This property was located right on big Detroit Lake so it had a lovely view. We only stayed a few days, but the home met our basic needs. We ate out each day - there are a lot of good restaurants in the area. We were able to use the dock at the property, however the ramp to the dock seemed to be a bit worse for wear (in addition to the dock bench). Gloria was quick to respond to any of our questions.”

“We enjoyed our time at Paul’s cabin. Access to both lakes was a pleasant surprise — easy to get to both. Lake Sallie was lovely for floating.Host was VERY quick to respond to our messages (usually within an hour during the day) if we had any issues.I highly recommend this cabin and host if you’re looking for a getaway from the city.”

We spent time exploring the nearby Trolls and the boys tried some fishing from shore.This is a property we would highly recommend and would love to return to. One note - we had an email from the management company asking us to sign a waiver that contained terms that far exceeded what is permitted by VRBO (access at any time with no advance notice!) We did not sign and it was not an issue. ”
