“Beautiful hotel in rural setting. Owner Miguel reserved our Acoura 516 bridge tickets as our international charge card was not accepted. The continental buffet breakfast was delicious and freshly served. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evening which Miguel started each evening. If we return to the area to hike we will definitely stay here again. It was impressively clean and staff (his family :) friendly. ”

“Very good deal, breakfirst included. The hotel is walkable from Regua. There is another one bed, ideal for family with one kid. Room id very clean insideout, the staff is friendly. Only thing to mention, check in is strict, but there is locker for luggage storage. I am very happy with everything.”

“We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Just plan ahead if you’re staying on a Sunday as many restaurants were closed but we found a gem in Cinfaes - Sabores e……

“Beautiful room in a beautiful location. The host at the hotel was extremely welcoming and made an effort to make sure we were comfortable. ”

“Great view from the room and the cafeteria/restaurant. The mountain and the river behind are spectacular. The room itself is quite nice and big as well. However, the only public transportation to get to the hotel is by bus. Even it is only three minutes walk to downtown, still strongly recommend to rent a car if you would like to explore more in the neighborhood. The hotel has its own underground parking lot. So it is not a problem for parking.”

“Hotel de diseño con vistas estupendas al Duero. Tiene dos piscinas pequeñas, y un gimnasio y spa también pequeños, pero suficientes. El restaurante Raiva ofrece una comida y un servicio excelentes. El sumiller, Pedro, se portó especialmente bien con nosotros, explicando los vinos de la región y teniendo un trato muy amable. El hotel ofrece diversas actividades, como paseos por el Duero, excursiones, etc. Un lugar estupendo para relajarse y desconectar unos días.”
