“My room was the first room in the corridor. The corridor was having a door which was heavy. Each time people came in or went out through the corridor, the door slamming loudly. One morning, other guests might need to catch a very early morning flight, and woke me up. Other than the door all other things were good. Staff were friendly.”

“The Quarterdeck Inn Port Hardy was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the room to the staff to the management, everything fell short of even the most basic standards.
The hotel itself is dingy and seedy — the walls were literally muddy. This is not a place that takes pride in its facilities.
The “hot breakfast” advertised turned out to be a cold A&W breakfast sandwich. That says it all about the standard of this place.

“It was a bit of a strange place. We had booked with the Sportsman’s Inn but they gave us a room at the McNeill Inn.
There was a view of the water but directly in front was a parking lot with cars driving through from the coffee place & people walking by.
The furniture was in rough shape but overall the room was clean but smaller than we expected.
Basically it was a weird set up.”
