I would have given a 5 star review had it not been for housekeeping. The area outside the hotel felt a little unsafe, due to the homelessness, but we just didnt go out at night, which was fine. We loved the restaurant, so we ate there most nights.
We asked for our rooms to be made up daily as we were there at an Art Festival showing my art, 5 nights, and the days are very long, and its nice coming back to a made up room.
So when we came back on day 3, the whole room was made up, except for my bed. My friends bed was made, but not mine. I mentioned it to the girls downstairs and they were so polite. She said maybe you left something on the bed, then they wont touch it. The only thing I left on the bed was one of your towels, since I use the towel as a pillow since the pillows were too large for me.
So we thought all was ok.
Then, we come to the hotel the last night we are staying, and both bed are not made. Everything else is done, but not the beds. We made sure not to leave anything on the beds. It was weird and the girl in the reception did not understand it either.
We usually leave a tip for housekeeping, but had no desire to leave one after that happened twice. After the first time, ok, we thought maybe they got an important call or something, but twice. Just dont get it.
We love the hotel and will stay next year during the Art Festival and maybe the mystery of the unmade beds will have been solved.
Sincerely, Laura
