“The staff were very helpful in preparing an early packed breakfast to take as we left early. We had arranged a late check in, but arrived about 30 minutes earlier and it took more than ten minutes to try and find a member of staff to check us in! After that it was absolutely fine!
There was tea in the room, very comfortable beds, and plenty of parking! We only stopped over night so I cannot comment on the wonders of the cooked breakfast or other facilities, but it served out purposes well!”
“The hotel is extremely dated. Note that there is a large annex, so if you are in a “garden” room, you are not staying in the castle, it is an outdated 1980s annex. The bathroom had a sink that had been broken and poorly glued back together and a very dirty fan. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and could have used a mattress topper. You feel every spring in the mattress. The entire hotel also had a very musty smell. The actual castle portion has potential to be very beautiful, but some……
