Only one thing missing!
The apartment is located very centrally and close to all amenities in the Santa Maria aparthotel. Communication with the provider prior to and during our stay was 100% satisfactory. The decor is traditional and reasonably comfortable with adequately stocked with kitchen utensils and crockery. On the less good side, we found the sofa quite uncomfortable to sit on (we didn't need to use it much anyway, so not really a problem). However, the one thing missing was the lack of sun on the balcony due to the location on the North-west side of the building. We knew before we booked that there would be limited sunshine, however during our 2 weeks in March, despite 14 days of sunshine, none of it came near the balcony of this apartment.

The propert had everything we needed but the washing machine didn't work. I contacted the owner who replied straihht away and arranged for someone to look at it, unfortunately it couldnt be fixed and a new one was ordered which would be coming a couple of days after our stay. None the less, our stay was very enjoyable and communication with the owner was excellent.

Family holiday
First time I have stayed in this apartment. It was very comfortable and clean with everything you need. Home from home. Lots of bars and resturants to chose from and friendly bar Place2B just as you leave the complex is great place to start. Will stay here again if available on our next visit.

Excellently located apartment with a lovely heated pool
Katherine was great at communicating with us and very kindly offered us a later check-out when we were caught up in the Coronavirus flight cancellations and could not leave until later in the day. Although in lockdown, this kindness was a huge relief. The apartment had all the essentials. We didn't use the microwave, hob or small oven as there was an abundance of restaurants on the doorstep and seafront (5 min walk away). The shower above the bath was good and powerful. The pool is a huge attraction - it was heated and large with plenty of sun loungers available. The location is excellent as it is near lots of restaurants and bars, a good supermarket is at the end of the drive and the seafront is 5 mins walk along a wide pedestrianised walkway. It would have been nice to have a full roll of toilet paper to start our 10 day stay, as we ended up arriving at 9.30 at night. We mainly sat outside on the balcony which has a lovely sea view but there is an occasional drainsy smell which rises up. We were a couple staying and so did not need the additional sofabed aspect, however, it is quite uncomfortable to sit on as a sofa for reading as you can feel the springs. We solved this when we were on lockdown, by using the folded pale blue blankets in the bedroom wardrobe as additional cushioning. We point these aspects out only for accuracy which may be important to some guests's enjoyment. Overall we would definitely stay here again as there is so much which is good about the apartment and it is very good value. Thank you Katherine.

Great holiday
We have stayed in one of Katherine's apartments before so we had no hesitation booking again. Large apartment and terrace with a great view of Fanabe beach and the mountains too. Appreciated the welcome pack with milk coffee tea etc. Also a washing machine, so we didn't need to bring a whole wardrobe with us. We will be back, ideal apartment great location, friendly owner.

My stay at the santa maria
Had a fantastic holiday & having a nice apartment put the icing on the cake. Had a small problem regarding the safe but this was rectified by a very obliging owner who came round to meet us & make sure everything was ok. Thanks Katherine will be booking again next year.

Great location
I spent a lovely week here. Great communication with Katherine. Having the welcome pack in the fridge was a nice surprise. I didn’t use the pool as I prefer the beach which is only a couple of mins away. The apartment is nice and spacious with a lovely big balcony - no sun but still nice sitting out there. Would love to come back.

Very good communication from start to finish. Easy to access apartment, no having to wait in a queue after a long journey. Apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Great location in an area we know and love central for shops, bars, restaurants and beach. Will definitely use these apartments again in the future.

Super stay in Santa Maria
Excellent comms from the owner. Very good value compared to the hotels own rooms prices. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with nice sea views and aircon. I really appreciated the wine and beer and milk left on our arrival as it was a late checkin . The coded door lock was great. No lost keys ! The beds were really comfortable. The location is superb with bars next door and 5 mins to beach shops and other bars and restaurants. Never had problems getting sun loungers by the pool. Yes you cant get drinks at the pool bar unless a hotel guest but no problem taking your own down . Balcony didnt get any sun in august but may be different at other times of year . Did get some noise as it is the end apartment in a row that overlooks an open corrider but this certainly didnt spoil our time there. Overall had a great 12 nights and would recomend.

Although the apartment is situated in a great location it lacked some basic amenities, toilet roll, washing machine powder, shower gel/soap little things that you would have in any home, No WiFi and not able to use the poolside bar, beds are comfy tho and the kitchen is well equipped

Our apartment is let out on a self catering basis as stated on our web page. Guests will have to buy their own shower gel and washing powder etc. We only provide fresh bed linens, towels and one toilet roll at the beginning of guests' stay. The restriction of wi fi and pool bar are also stated on our web page, but most of the cafes and restaurants nearby do provide free wi fi. I am pleased that you find the beds are comfortable and kitchen is well equipped.

Just come back after 14 nights . Could’ve stayed , really enjoyed it . Apartment in the shade but when it’s red hot that’s no problem you have somewhere nice to relax on the large balcony . This isn’t the most modern apt but it’s clean and has everything you need and more , washing machine being the major factor , Two single beds that can be put together . A separate living area with kitchen / dining area . Table and chairs to eat at if you want to eat in , Tho we never did , iron & ironing board All those little extras to save on the luggage weight x Apartment overlooking the entrance but also the sea and the mountains .. beautiful views .. we had a problem with the door handle whilst there , Katherine had it fixed within 30 mins of it being reported now you can’t say fairer than that , I would recommend this to any couple .

El apartamento es perfecto,tiene todo lo necesario para tu estancia,limpio,amplio,comodo,con una gran terraza con vistas y ademas una ubicacion perfecta (cerca de playas,restaurantes,tiendas,centro comercial,buses). Aire acondicionado en el salon y ventilador en la habitacion. Las instalaciones del hotel donde esta no son gran cosa,pero suficiente para darse un chapuzon en la piscina si quieres. La propietaria atenta,formal,agradable y en caso de necesidad dispuesta para cualquier consulta. Muchas gracias Katherine,sin duda mi hija y yo hemos disfrutado de nuestras vacaciones.

Great Apartment
Myself and my partner both in our mid 20s stayed in Katherine's 1 bedroom apartment and we could not fault it very clean and tidy with air conditioning. We have been to the Santa Maria many times so know the location well but this was the first time we booked a private apartment and it was great would highly recommend it.

Be aware of non use of pool bar
Apartment was fine, however as we were staying in private rented accommodation, we were not able to use the pool bar as they did not take money. Would be an idea to be able to buy a prepaid card at reception that could be used. So we used the bar outside called place to be, which sells great food. I feel that it wasn't properly explained when I rented the property, that the pool bar wasn't available to those staying in private accommodation.

I am sorry you were not aware private renters are not allowed to use all hotel facilities including the pool bar which was stated on the property description on the site. However, you can use the swimming pools and freely consume your own food and drinks by the poolside.

Great location.
We stayed in Katherine's apartments in December 2017.The apartments were very clean and spacious, washing machine very handy when staying for 3 weeks. TV has English channels which is handy. We would definitely stay in Katherine apartments again. Suzanne Pennington.

Fantastic stay
The apartment we stayed in was spotlessly clean and tidy on arrival. Costa Adeje has some fantastic bars/restaurants and the people were very friendly. My wife and I will be returning next year. Thank you Katherine for letting us stay in your apartment, we had a marvellous time.

Disappointing
My family and I stayed in this property during July. Sadly this property is in need of a refurbishment, which is such a shame as it could be a lovely apartment. On arrival we found that the sofa bed was completely broken, there were screws missing and it was bent in various places which meant that it was very dangerous and collapsed when you put any pressure on it. Katherine did try to rectify the situation within 24 hours, but this is something that you should not be faced with when you go on holiday, a bed is a fundamental part of your stay and it was clear that the bed hadn't just broken over night, it was in a very bad way! An emergency zed bed was provided (that my husband had to collect and carry from another apartment) Unfortunately it wouldn't fit in the property as the broken sofa bed was still in situ, so he ended up sleeping on the sofa for our entire stay. The air conditioning was also not functioning properly on arrival, the owner was prompt at responding to my email and did send a handy man out to have a look at the issue during our stay. With regard to the hotel, an important point that we need to mention is that you cannot use any of the hotel's facilities (minus the pool) when staying in a private apartment. You are not able to buy a drink in the bar, eat in the hotel's restaurant, connect to the hotel's WiFi or park in the hotel's car park. The hotel is well situated, it very close to the beach, about a 10 minute walk down a steep hill. There are many bars and restaurants nearby and a supermarket at the end of the road. Sadly after all the problems with faced, it put a dampener on our holiday. We complained to Katherine after our stay and she waived £15 for a highchair we hired and didn't charge us for our 1 year old (which we feel she shouldn't have anyway as she slept in our travel cot!) We believe that this is no way near enough compensation for all the inconveniences that were caused during our stay, I mean, my husband had to sleep on a sofa for the entire holiday, surely that is reason enough to give us more than £15 compensation! So in brief, we would not stay in this apartment again and would not recommend it to others.

We are so sorry that we had disappointed you on this rare occasion. Most of the time this apartment is only occupied by 2 people, the sofa bed is rarely in use and the clients who used last failed to report it. We were grateful that you bring this to our attention. We had provided a folding bed for your 3 years old child within 24 hours. We agreed the apartment is a bit tight for the folding bed since you also had a travel cot with you, but we believed it would be able to fit in if you moved the side table away. This was only a temporary measure to give us a chance to get a replacement sofa. With regard to the air conditioning, again we had sent our maintenance man down within 24 hours. We were advised it was working properly, it is just the small flap adjusting the direction of the flow was faulty. We are now waiting for a replacement part, but this does not interfere the cooling capacity of the machine. Finally, with regard to the restriction of the hotel facilities, you agreed that it is completely out of our control. We had notified you the situation as soon as we can and offered you the option to cancel your booking with full refund, but you expressed your interest to stay on. We sincerely apologised for any inconvenience caused and hope you appreciated that we tried our utmost to rectify the problems within 24 hours. We always endeavour to make sure our clients had an enjoyable stay, this is evident from all our other reviews. We wish you all the best for the future.

No Concerns
Stayed in an apartment on 5th floor. Aware that there may be problems using some of Hovima services. Not the case. You can use credit or debit card to purchase in restaurant or pool bar. You can't however create an account, you have to pay for each transaction. Used local restaurants for meals, not impressed with Hovima menu. Entertainment not brilliant, but location offered plenty of alternatives.

Nice flat
Thought flat might be noisy at night being overlooking the entrance but this was not the case.Nice outlook even though it overlooks the car park.Clean with comfy beds and any suggestions we made were acted upon.Flat unfortunately does not get sun on the balcony in March but not a problem as the weather can be too hot to sit out at times.

A beautiful location, a lovely hotel and a superb apartment
My wife and I have just returned from Tenerife and had a fabulous time . Santa Maria is in a lovely area close to all the local bars and restaurants and is a clean and well maintained complex and the staff were friendly. The apartment we stayed in was excellent, it was spotless well equipped and comfortable and the welcome pack was a really nice gesture and was appreciated. The communication with the owner Katherine was pleasant and very responsive and our breakage deposit was returned immediately, we couldn't really ask for more. My wife and I would recommend this apartment, the complex and the location to anyone. A bigs thanks to Katherine and all the staff at Santa Maria

Very clean and comfortable apartment with good views
This was the fifth time I have stayed at the Santa Maria and it never disappoints. The location is spot on for local bars, restaurants and beaches. On speaking to some other visitors they seem to have paid quite a lot of money for a package deal which includes meals at the hotel. My preference is to stay in an apartment such as this as eating out seems so cheap and quality is very good at most restaurants. This apartment was very clean and comfortable with a double balcony overlooking the main entrance area, with some excellent views of the mountains, and coast. At this time of year the sun doesn't really get round to the balcony, but for me it was so hot, this was a relief! For anyone who only books package holidays, have the confidence to book an apartment such as this through owners direct, and book your flights separately, a taxi from the airport is less than 30 euros, public transport is 3.70 euros each.

Fantastic
The apartment is on the fifth floor with sea and mountain views. It has a double balcony. The apartment is very clean and the beach is a 5 minute stroll away. We will return Steve & Geraldine Darwen Lancs
