“The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms.”

“After our second day walking the Queen Charlotte Track, this resort was a lovely way to end the day. The room was comfortable and the shower hot and excellent pressure! Their restaurant has been damaged but they let us know that in advance and continued to provide excellent meals at the spacious dock or delivered to the room. We ate at the dock for dinner and breakfast. They also provided a delicious bag lunch on request. The trek back uphill to the track was a bit more strenuous than we……

“After our longest walk on the 4 day Queen Charlotte Track, this resort was a delight to end with. The room was comfortable and the shower hot. They had a lovely bar area for a pre-dinner drink and dinner was delicious. We found the water conservation and rainwater use fascinating and applaud their efforts. We were a little concerned about the long downhill on the road to get to the lodge from the track knowing we had to go up the next day. Imagine the wonderful surprise when the front desk……
