The room was comfortable and the shower hot and excellent pressure! Their restaurant has been damaged but they let us know that in advance and continued to provide excellent meals at the spacious dock or delivered to the room. We ate at the dock for dinner and breakfast. They also provided a delicious bag lunch on request. Compared to Furneaux Lodge and The Portage, Punga felt VERY dated back to the 70s and 80s and poorly maintained. We had an apartment and could hear every footstep of the people above is. Lovely resort in a beautiful location. We walked the Queen Charlotte track and it was great arriving after a long day of hiking finding our luggage waiting in the room and enjoy s nice dinner in the restaurant. Our only complaint is that the hot tub - which we had looked forward to- really needed a change of water. Be aware that the A frame type chalets have limited head space, and the access is very steep. There are staff with ATV vehicles to help out when needed. The room was nice and quiet. I enjoyed the food as well. I highly recommend. My only gripe is the lack of facial tissue in the room.
