Enjoyed the Fairmont Gold Experience. Gold Lounge was closed for renovations on our last day, but the hotel took great care of us in the restaurant for breakfast. We will be back.

Although the hotel boasts an old world charm, it lacks the luxury it implies. The walls and doors are from yester year. Our stay was like a frat house with guests coming and going from their rooms all night, seriously all night. At most hotels this would be a minimal disturbance but with the paper walls and doors it was not ideal for restful sleep. I would avoid this hotel if you're a light sleeper. The $$$ does not equal the experience.

As long as you understand that it’s old and getting renovated then you will enjoy your stay. Staff in lounge is great.
