Within 6 miles lies the harbour town of Arbroath, famous for its Smokies and historic Arbroath Abbey, with the world famous Lunan Bay just a few miles further along the coast. For culture seekers and shopping the city of Dundee is only 15 miles away, whilst Aberdeen and Edinburgh are within an hour and a half drive. For golfers, the Carnoustie Championship course is only a 15 minute drive and the St. Andrews Championship courses can be reached in 50 minutes.
Close by, Glamis Castle is only 12 ½ miles always and is a popular tourist choice whatever the weather. The Angus glens are popular with hill walkers, as is fishing on the river Tay and Esk along with sea angling trips from Arbroath.
