“The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. Our day always started with an excellent and leisurely breakfast which really set us up……

“We enjoyed our stay at Makeney Hall. The first night we arrived late and the couch pull out bed had no sheets or blankets. The front desk staff was very kind and went and found what we needed and we were very grateful. The room was nice size and the grounds were very beautiful.”
