“We recieved a warm welcome by Mr. Chiappa, and the place is truly wonderful. The house itself is compact (and the stairs even more so), but large enough for the 4 of us. Everything felt fresh and clean. Mr. Chiappa also provided us with a box full of home grown tomatos, cougettes, cucumbers and herbs. They tasted perfectly.The house is also very well equipped with everything you might need. The road up to the house is narrow, and sometimes (very) steep. Although it gets easier everytime you……

“Absolutely stunning place, as others have said, the pictures don't even capture the beauty of the view, the house and the property. Quite possibly the most beautiful setting I have ever seen. My wife was so inspired by the place that she drew a painting describing the area. On top of that, Marco is a fantastic host, very communicative, kind and very helpful, was always of there was anything. Finally, there are so many beautiful sites and restaurants nearby. Would recommend without any hesitation……

“Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Die alte Mühle ist traumhaft gelegen. Man hat seine Ruhe am Ende eines Feldweges (etwas wackelige Angelegenheit...)Am Abend gab es eine super leckere, selbstgemachte Pizza von der Vermieterin!Die Kinder hatten großen Spaß am Pool, am Bach, der am Haus vorbei fließt und am großen Grundstück was alle Möglichkeiten bietet sich auszupowern. Unser Hund hat es ebenso genossen.Ein toller Platz, um auszuspannen und die freie Zeit zu……

“Wir waren mit der Großfamilie samt Kleinkind, Teenagern und Hund unterwegs. Es war für alle direkt am Haus genug geboten. Der Pool ist klasse, zu Anfang wegen der Steinchen allerdings ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig.Der Anstieg nach Barga selbst ist schon ein wenig steil, wir selbst wären es wohl nicht gelaufen, mit Fahrrädern ist es machbar, mit E-Bikes kein Problem.Für die Motorradfahrer unserer Gruppe waren die umliegenden Strecken ein Traum.”

“Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. Gabriele hat uns über WhatsApp mit sehr guten Ausflugstipps versorgt und seine Eltern haben uns überaus freundlich begrüßt. Das Haus wurde während unseres Aufenthalts geputzt, der Pool mehrfach gereinigt, aber immer mit……

The stunning mountain views impressed us every day, and the large, well-kept infinity pool was a true highlight.The property offers a small house for 2, a larger one for 5, and a charming Tea-House. All are cozy, perfectly suited to the number of guests, and fully equipped with bathrooms and kitchens.
