Named for the many magical albino deer in the area, you are almost guaranteed seeing one or more of them during your stay. You will enjoy all the comforts of home, with peaceful seclusion and an endless supply of nature, only 15 miles off the Great River Road. Relax in the whirlpool or in front of the fireplace of this beautiful three-story lodge located on our organic farmland in the scenic Waumandee Valley, where our grandparents settled years before us - in fact, the main support pole in the kitchen was a tree planted by them. White Deer Lodge can be the perfect escape from your hectic everyday life - a bit of relaxation, adventure, and quite, mixed with a touch of romance, but there have been plenty of parties here as well! Bikers have indicated the roads that run by the lodge are some of their favorite in the world! Enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery of the Midwest. Bounded by three rivers, the Mississippi, the Trempealeau and the Chippewa, Buffalo County is rich in history and recreational opportunities. The 2500 sq. foot lodge is rented to only one party. Special weekend retreat

Our family had a fantastic stay here while visiting family in the area. The lodge had all the amenities needed for our busy trip and was located near some great local restaurants. The views are amazing and the hosts are wonderful and made our trip extra special.

This place is amazing, if you’re looking for a getaway in the middle of no where this is the place to go. The owners had some great recommendations and they even have a book with all the nearby places to checkout. I’ll be staying here again in the future!

Secluded and Quiet

Had a great time, the place is beautiful with some of the best views. Quiet is an understatement, no traffic and sounds of wildlife were perfect. Very clean as well.

Peaceful weekend getaway

The cabin is beautiful in a very private area. It had everything we needed for a much needed break from our chaotic work lives. Very nice to be able to sit outside at night in complete silence and gaze at the stars to unwind. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic

We are two motorcycle couples, who thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was immaculate, lots of room for even more than the 4 of us. The best part? Being able to sit on the deck and watch the cows and deer in the most beautiful countryside we've ever been in!

Wonderful Lodge!!!

Such a restful stay. Felt like being in the middle of nowhere, yet easy drive to many places for food, etc. Loved the daily activities of the cows and deer. Great views too! The place was soooo clean and comfortable. Enjoyed unplugging; reading, napping, games, no TV!!! Can’t wait to come back again : )

Cozy peace and quiet

Wonderful stay! I was looking for a quiet cabin away for a weekend and this was perfect! It was spacious, clean, cozy, and well stocked so I could cook there. There was very minimal traffic and it felt very tucked away! The hosts had the cabin ready early and were so kind, professional, and easy to communicate with. Definitely can’t wait to go back.

Delightful and quiet with a beautiful view!

What a delightful place to be! It was so quiet! We often just enjoyed sitting on the deck and admiring the view! So incredibly quiet! Just the sounds of nature! We had seen about 40 deer our first night! There was a little wren the flitted about close by. The lodge was very clean! We would definitely come back another time!

Absolutely gorgeous! Quiet, private and clean

We've rented a lot of great cabins in Wisconsin over the years, but this is the first time I want to go back to the same place! It's absolutely gorgeous. The landscape, the cabin, surrounding area... Everything. The cabin has tons of room. There were only 3 of us but it would be perfect for a large gathering. It's extremely clean- something I always look for and appreciate. The kitchen has everything you need- even crock pots. And oh my God the bathtub! Amazing! My son really enjoyed the loft area and my husband and I spent many hours sitting on deck watching the deer and cows and listening to nothing but nature. We saw lots of animals including black squirrels, bald eagles, raccoons, tons of rabbits and many birds. Lots to see in the surrounding area too. (Definitely check out Buena Vista Park. WOW) Very quiet and private. I feel recharged after our trip and I can't wait for the opportunity to go back!
