My recent stay was terrible! I usually don't write reviews but here I am. Upon arrival, I ordered a caesar salad from the restaurant with parchment paper still at the bottom of the container. The salad was over saturated with dressing and lettuce was soggy smelled spoiled. The front desk rep refunded the cost and I didn't eat or drink at the onsite restaurant again. I was told that I would need to complain to the manager when they were available during the daytime.
When I arrived at my hotel room, my door looked as if someone tried to pry it open with a crowbar because the wood was chipped around the lock. My daughter & I felt unsafe and made sure all latches were locked at night. About 6 hotel doors on our floor were off the hinges with plastic covering some of the doors for repairs possibly. Our room was in serious need of renovations. We had water damaged/molded ceilings, red liquid-stained carpet, and the baseboards near my front door was gone with paint chips all around.
In addition to being upset about the room, our final night we did not have access to clean large towels. The pool was overcrowded and small. Also, when I arrived at checkout I requested to speak with the manager on staff, I was told the manager was conveniently in a meeting. I would never recommend this hotel and I am highly disappointed in the quality, or lack thereof from "The Hilton". I am normally a loyalist of another hotel brand and I will remain loyal from now on because this was unacceptable.
