The Space:
Prunus Hideaway is situated in the rural locality of Garfield, which is just an hour's drive away from Melbourne and the seaside town of Inverloch. It is a popular tourist destination on the stunning Gippsland coastline, ideal for engaging in water-based activities like swimming, kitesurfing, and windsurfing.
Gumbuya World Rides, Maru Koala and Animal Park, and Civic Park are just a few of the nearby attractions in the area. A cozy 155-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. This includes a cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please take note that this tiny house is an off-grid unit that runs on solar energy. We advise guests to conserve energy during the day and only use it when necessary. Overall, minimal consumption is advised to prevent power outages when using solar power.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.
Guests are allowed to explore the woodland areas but must stay on the trails to avoid being lost. Please do not cross over fenced areas.

Prunus Hideaway sits in the tranquil neighborhood of Garfield, VIC. We are just an hour's drive from the towns of Corinella, Cape Paterson, and Inverloch.

- Civic Park in Warragul features a waterfall, a wonderful garden, a small creek, and walking paths.
- Inverloch Beach offers several watersports from swimming to fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and more.
- Mount Cannibal is a popular circuit track ideal for brisk walking, bushwalking, cycling, and wildlife watching.
- Cannibal Creek Reserve offers a one-way-only walking track and equestrian facilities available to the public.
- Cannibal Creek Winery is a fancy restaurant with an amazing selection of wines, cuisines, and services in the region.
- Maru Koala and Animal Park is a family-run attraction that offers a range of animal experiences and other child-friendly activities.
Getting Around:
By Car:
Garfield and Bunyip town center is a short 10min drive if you are looking for some grocery supplies and Pakenham or Warragul is 20mins drive if you needing to do some serious shopping.
If you are looking for a peaceful walk in nature, then Bunyip state forest is where you need to go. With only 30 minutes drive, you can explore on foot, mountain trail bike (MTB), horseback or in the comfort of your four-wheel drive. Don’t forget to visit the famous “Four Brothers rocks”.
By public transport:
Garfield Station is only 10 minutes away and you can get to any towns or head into Melbourne CBD with Myki or V-line ticket.

- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Maximum two (2) pets per stay, either pet dogs or cats only
- Pet cleaning fee is $33 per stay which covers max 2 pets (dogs or cats only) and to be collected by land host upon arrival. Pet bowl is provided for use during the stay.
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- Please be advised that we have free-roaming farm animals (and noise) on our property
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Guest Advisory
- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
- For extended stays, please be advised that we usually empty the waste tank every two days. Should you require a complete changeover and tidying of the tiny house during your stay, the land host will collect an additional $50 per extra cleaning.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is located in bushland (or grassland) areas
- Keep in mind that outdoor fire pit is not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
