Family style home- Fenced in back yard on the bayou with access to False River -

Our family friendly home is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Enjoy your time here on our spacious pier fishing or simply just relax. If you bring a boat, there is a place to tie up to on the pier.
We have a fully equipped kitchen with a wide open view of the peaceful bayou.
Washroom equipped with washer, dryer, and utility sink located outside of the house under the two car carport in a separate room.
Bedrooms have closet space available for your personal use. Clean bed linens and pillows are provided.
Bathrooms are spacious and include basic necessities ( shampoo/conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toilet paper) along with towels.

Great place to get away for a weekend
My family stayed here on a weekend in May. The checkin was simple as the door was unlocked for us. Shelley, the property owner I assume, was friendly and easy to deal with. The home was stocked with the basics, including towels and a random assortment of food and seasonings, although we brought our own. My only recommendation would be to add a cork screw and possibly look at making the ice maker functional. The A/C worked fine, although it was always a little warmer in the master bedroom. But it wasn't an issue. The carport had ample room for a truck and boat trailer and two SUVs. The backyard was beautiful as well as the view of the bayou. There are a few places a small dog can easily get under the fence, but I made sure to inform the owner. I docked my boat overnight with no issues (thankfully the bayou is also a no wake zone). There was a boat launch rught across the bayou that I used. It appeared to be a community launch as there were multiple houses there, and nobody said anything to me about launching there - very convenient! I also visited with some of the neighbors and talked to some others while fishing. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I hope to return again very soon!

Weekend fishing trip
Stayed Fri-Sun to participate in a weekend bass tournament on the lake. This house/property was perfect. The house backs up to a canal/bayou, which we learned is one of the best areas around the lake to fish. We were able to launch the boat from a ramp about 1/4 mile away and kept it tied up and safe at the house. Didn’t spend much time inside the house, but the time spent was nice. House was very clean and the bed(s) were very comfortable. If this property is still listed next, I will book it again.

This VRBO was perfect. The location was great. The house was clean. It was a great place. Added bonus- the dock was perfect for some afternoon fishing! Highly recommend. Our host was incredible to!

First trip to False River
This is a recently rennovated and nicely decorated 2 bedroom home on a well traveled canal to False river. Unfortunately the yard is not fully fenced but both sides of the yard are- just no boundary from house to the water! The master bed is FIRM, so we were thankful I had brought our own bed linens to add a little extra cushion. I'd also suggest room darkening curtains in the master, since the neighbor's carport light shines right at this house. The couch sits so incredibly low, our remedy for this was taking the cushions from one side and adding them to where we were sitting-- made it much easier to get back up and still was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for several meals. The location of the home was easy to get in and out and had many restaurant options fairly close to the house. Fishing on the dock was so fun and I got my first sunburn of the year while catching fish! I hated to see the for sale sign in the yard, as we would defintely rent again! Shelley was an amazing host and stayed in contact throughout our stay! Thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to False River!

Nice property, quiet neighborhood
This is a nice place for a single family. We enjoyed being able to fish off of the pier in the back yard. The house is well furnished with basic necessities. There were a couple minor issues during our stay that the property manager was quick to respond to.
