BIRTHDAY GETAWAY
I SET UP A SURPRISE WEEKEND GETAWAY FOR MY HUSBAND, HIS FATHER AND BROTHER GOT TO GO WITH HIM. WE HAVE FIVE CHILDREN AND HE DOES NOT GET OUT MUCH. THE STAY WAS WONDERFUL AND JON IS GREAT AT COMMUNICATING RIGHT AWAY. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET A NICE RELAXING WEEKEND AWAY.

Girls weekend for Hippie Fest.
We really liked our stay here. Was very clean and location is great. Felt safe. Close to everything. Enjoyed morning walks and looking at the beautiful view of Silver Lake. Bed were comfortable. Would definately stay here again.

Roomy and quiet setting
This vacation cottage exceeded expectations for our stay and the owner was very easy to communicate with. The cottage was very clean and equipped with additional kitchen items such as a crock pot and griddle. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood while eating meals outdoors or enjoying a campfire. We would rent this cottage again!

Enjoyed a long weekend here
Lots of space, kitchen amenities, nice fire pit area, close to downtown and dunes, enjoyed the kayaks and nearby beach access. We’d stay again.

Last minute reservation- made this a great find!
The property was in an excellent location. The property manager was a great communicator and very responsive. He informed me of an issue with the washer and dryer and once he learned of my planned need for doing laundry he got service arranged for the next day. We did encounter a unfriendly neighborhood dog that would consistently come on the property and taunt our dogs through the windows. Unfortunately this did result in damage to a window blind. These few items did not overshadow the great time this stay offered.

Close to the dunes and state park, yet located in a quiet and peaceful area. Plenty of room for myself, my 3 adult kids, dog and 2 small children. We loved staying here and we’ll be back again sometime.

Annual Trip to Dunes & Craigs Cruzers
Everyone had a great time & the house worked great for us. We especially enjoyed the use of the Kayaks. We had a change of plan & didn't have the family grand-dog with us afterall, although we didn't find out until the rest of the party arrived. We hope to have him next time, as he was welcome & was provided for in the reservation. Thanks so much!!

Great location
Cool spot that is right at Upper Silver Lake. A couple cool access points to the lake where the kids can swim and play in the sand. Just a short drive to the sand dunes and Lake Michigan. Didn’t realize at time of booking that you are responsible for all cleaning and washing sheets, but was able to pay for that to be taken care of later. Didn’t like the fact that we had to make all five beds when we got there. Not sure if this is due to not having cleaners or what. Other than that, it was a cool spot and Jon (Host) was very responsive and easy to work with.

We had nothing but a great time! We were allowed use of the garage which was wonderful with the sxs and not having to lock them up every night! Can’t say a bad thing about the place or Jon! We will definitely book this house again!!!

Silver Lake Sand Dunes Cottage
Really Good Cottage and location. Was glad to have plenty of paved parking and garage for dune buggy. Quiet cul-de-sac road. Cottage clean and in good condition upon arriving. Would stay again.

Perfect Get Away Location
Our stay was perfect. House was just as listed. Jon is an excellent communicator with quick answers any questions I had prior to our stay. I didn't need to contact Jon during our stay because all the check-in and house directions were very clear. We would definitely choose this location again for any other trip to the Silver Lake area.

Nice weekend getaway
Nice house in the lake community about 3min from dune access. House had all that we needed. Dated cabin feel but very well maintained. Great communication with the landlord. Low cleaning fees mean you clean up your own mess. I appreciate letting the renters do this for themselves. Would stay again without hesitation.

By far one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. The owners made sure everything was available to us and the house was in perfect condition and in an excellent location with lake access. We would definitely stay here again.

House was as described, the washer and dryer took forever so it’s best if you just bring your own sheets and towels so your not sitting there for 4 hours doing laundry. The grill didn’t have propane. The kayaks were not sitting out and when I called the number I didn’t get a response so we were unable to use those. The house only has ice cube trays. Otherwise, the place was perfect for what we needed and will stay again.

Fun end of summer getaway.
The property was just what we wanted . A nice cottage close to a lake and close to the Silver Lake State Park and the Sand Dunes. We had two pre teens with us and they enjoyed the inside and outside of the property. They rode their bikes around and swam and kayaked on the lake. We had a fire every night. The place was very spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. It was very well equipped with everything you needed. We ate dinner out most of the time but we did have breakfast and lunch there. We loved the Golden Sands Bucket Bar. There was plenty for the kids to do there and the Pizza was great. We also went to Lewis Family Farm . It is a farm and zoo with lots of activities for everyone to enjoy.

We may never tent camp again
The house was perfect for us. Offset from the main area enough to provide peace and quiet but close enough to walk to Silver Scoops. We loved the beach across the road. Part of our family liked to watch sunrise from there each morning. We also enjoyed taking the kayaks out. We have camped near the Silver Lake Sand Dunes for 30+ years. This was our first year renting a house and we were curious what parts of camping we would miss… we may never go back to tents. The yard and fire pit provided the “camping” balance for coffee outside each morning and a bonfire each night. The kitchen and house overall were well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend the house!

Perfect Sweet Cabin
We LOVED our stay at this sweet cabin! Our kids had their own rooms with a little deck upstairs and bathroom. My husband and I had a nice size room down stairs. The driveway allowed for our kids to ride bikes and play while we cooked dinner. The two beaches are perfect for the ages of our kids with sand and fun swimming. It was simple and perfect access to Silver Lake activities.
