“I feel like this Hotel is not of the standard that should be on Expedia. I booked a room to accommodate 4 people. But when we arrived, we got a tiny room that can accommodate only 3 people with very tiny beds. Water ran out of the sink before bedtime and it was a challenge to wash hands, had to rely on bottled water. The shower was too small next to the toilet. When you run water, it wets the entire toilet seat. No hot water in the shower too. Will not recommend it, book at your own risk.”

![Our first major sighting, after less than an hour on Kenya’s Maasai Mara, was this gorgeous lioness as she moved from her shaded spot within a lone acacia and down onto the open plain as a cooling rainstorm swept across the area. The Mara, despite its protections, remains an area of complex lion/human interaction due to the close proximity of numerous pastoral Maasai communities. These herders have often resorted to illegal night-grazing within the reserve’s lands, especially during times of drought and lion attacks on livestock have led to past retaliations on the Mara’s predator population
