I loved the location as it was only a few minutes to the main hustle & bustle of the promenade but at the quiet end so we had peace & quiet. “Adorable Hotel in Vlores’s City Center. Conveniently located.! Staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. Room was comfortable, pillows were awful. I just don’t understand the expectations of showering in those small showers with the tiny glass partition and having to step out to a completely drenched bathroom floor. And if you have a big butt it won’t fit on the toilet that is jammed up against the shower glass partition.”

Founded in 588 BC, Apollonia was a significant trading port and cultural centre for about 50,000 people, many of whom settled here from nearby Corfu. Today the site is still undergoing excavation so there isn't tons and tons to see. This particular building isn't original to the site but was made from materials found on the site and has been modified many times since its creation as a monastery in the 13th century.
