Heaven on Earth
I can’t find the words to explain just how amazing Regina and Damian’s place is. They had an idea for an elevated camping experience and blew it out of the water!
My partner and I live in the city and we’ve been wanting to get away to disconnect and just be together without any distractions. Our trip was that and SO much more!
Sleeping:
We brought a tent just to be safe but their screened in area offers perfect shelter in all the elements. We had some rain blow through on our last morning and it was the most peaceful experience, and 100% dry. They provide a really nice trifold memory mattress but we brought our air mattress. We would use their mattress next time and leave ours at home. Pro tip - if you have extra blankets, you can use some rocks to hang them on the sides of the screened in porch for some added privacy and shelter from any breeze.
The Space:
The items they provide are accurate and work really well. The privacy screen and potty were comfortable. The bistro lights above the site put off just the right amount of light and don’t drown out the night sky. There’s also an on/off switch you can press if you want to be in the dark.
The Area:
Pond Eddy and Barryville is where we were throughout our trip and all of it is just the cutest. They have a lot of suggestions in their guidebook :)
Our Only Complaint:
THAT WE HAD TO LEAVE! We can’t wait to come back and stay here again :) big thanks to the hosts for everything!
