The Shire Hobbit House and Treehouses
Purposely Lost built three treehouses and two hobbit houses on a wooded 15-acre parcel on a trout pond. Search "Sanford, Maine" to see all five properties. Welcome home to The Shire, a rounded dome earth home inspired by Lord of the Rings. The hobbit home is all one level, so it might be easier access than climbing spiral stairs to a treehouse on the property. Excellent retreat

Great place on my way up to Acadia NP
Just as the pictures display an awesome unique tree house with hot tub, fire pit, and fishing lake. I used all them and family had great time. Would certainly stay again.

Quiet, Scenic, and Relaxing
Everything about this treehouse is really cool, from the views to the location to the fact that it's a freakin' treehouse. It feels extremely remote, but there's civilization only a few miles away, so in that sense you get the best of both worlds. It was quite cold outside but nice and warm and cozy inside, and even though it's not that large, it doesn't feel cramped at all. My partner and I spent a relaxing two days here and we'd definitely come back in any season - maybe when the snow melts so we can figure out how to get down to the pond.
