Come experience Alaska’s quiet beauty in this charming log cabin with breathtaking views. Located on a bluff above the Matanuska River, the private yard boasts an unobstructed view of the Chugach Mountains. Bring groceries, the kitchen is fully equipped to cook any meal. Grill on the porch or at the fire pit with the swing grate. Lots of local activities including hiking , river rafting, a zip line, fishing, wildlife. The Matanuska Glacier is a beautiful 30 mile drive up the highway.

Only 30 minutes from Palmer, this picturesque getaway combines real cabin living and modern amenities, making it a perfect part of your Alaskan adventure.

A note for our guest: This property is located on the edge of a steep cliff drop off and may not be appropriate for small children or anyone that needs supervision.

Absolutely Amazing
Property was better than listed. Cozy quiet cabin over looking a beautiful view. My partner and I sat outside just enjoying the view every chance we got. Property manager was also extremely friendly and responded immediately if I had any questions.

Amazing views and so relaxing!
After five days on the road this was exactly what our family needed! The park-like yard was amazing and very relaxing! So much space for our boys to run around and the campfire area and gazebo were perfect for our evenings. The view never got old. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was cozy but very comfortable for our family of four. We had a moose come through the yard a couple of times, which was exciting. We felt very refreshed after our stay. Although excited to see more of Alaska, we were definitely sad to leave this place!

Beautiful view
Easy to find and a lovely retreat with spectacular views, comfy beds and all the comforts of home. Heidi was kind and friendly and gave us plenty privacy. The cabin was clean and had interesting artifacts in it and information about Alaska. 5 stars a true Alaskan Gym.

Saved the best for last!
We were in Alaska for over five weeks and this was the last VRBO of our trip. It was THE BEST! Cozy, well-stocked, awesome scenery (how can you go wrong with mountains, a river, and aspens?!), quiet...could go on and on! We could see ourselves living in this place! Owner very responsive to messages. Would recommend this place to everyone!!!

Loved the view!
We have been to Alaska a couple times now and always get a cabin in that area because family lives in Sutton. It is a little bit of a drive but it is worth it! This is a great little cabin with two full beds. You can’t beat the view! There are some great views driving as well, the Matanuska Glacier is close by and that is a good thing to explore while in the area. I definitely recommend this cabin. Communication with Heidi was easy and she is very responsive, makes the whole process much easier.

A step back to another time.
Absolutely gorgeous setting. Fantastic location. Cabin was modernized but still held the classic homestead feel. We had an amazing time and plan to return again soon. What a beautiful piece of heaven. Thank you for sharing this with us.
