The lower level is vented for heat but the thermostat is on main level so hard to get lowest level up to the setting for main level, but the owner has provided a space heater that is portable. This cabin sleeps 6 and the owner provides a large electric fry pan and a 4 quart good size pot, as well as a 6 qt. crockpot. The lower level is vented with heat but due to the main level thermostat, it is hard to maintain a warmer level of heat down there. That is why the owner offers the portable heater. Each bathroom is supposed to have a hand towel. Each cabin is supplied by the owner with the towels and linens and perhaps some new ones will be requested based on your feedback. This cabin is 30 minutes or less to Boone(18-19 miles) and closest to West Jefferson and Jefferson for lovely mountain town dining, shopping, and sightseeing 18 minutes (9-10 miles). With a hot tub, pool table, and covered porch with seating, there is plenty for guests to have to get some much needed R&R! Thank you for choosing our cabin. We thank you for mailing the house key back to us that was taken from the property. The house since your stay has had a completely new heating and air unit installed. The home is cleaned between each guest stay and a spring cleaning has also been completed per our annual routine. We have verified there is not a leak at the shower. It is important to fully close shower curtains to keep water from coming out into the floor. Again, thank you for your stay.

Hi Linda, All guests can avoid extra fees by 3rd party companies and decline optional fees with 4 Seasons Vacations by Booking Directly with us. We appreciate your feedback and work very hard to represent our cabins correctly. The owner assures me all three beds have queen frames, box springs and mattresses. He is considering finishing the ceiling in the game room. The downstairs is vented to central heat in bedroom and the game room. When guests run the gas logs, on the main level where the thermostat is at for heat, it keeps the central heat from kicking in and warming the lowest level fully. This is a lovely custom log cabin, that has three sources of heat, so it is open year round. With a lovely view, covered porch, hot tub and game room, this clean, well appointed cabin can be enjoyed by all. Our NC Mountains are know for our unpredictable weather and cold snaps, maybe next time you can enjoy warmer weather. Thanks, ~4Seasons Vacations

The lowest level of this cabin is a finished basement area, with a bedroom, large game room, and a bathroom/laundry room. Anyone can enjoy the quiet, private hot tub to relax.
