Don’t be put off by the exterior, the rooms in this small accommodation are spacious (large shower!), air conditioning works great, staff is friendly and helpful and security is good - not that we ever felt vulnerable while in Split. Our only issue was that we had a car and had chosen this property because Expedia listed that parking is available on site. No, Split is a busy city and Prima Luxury Rooms is in a perfect location for walking but not for parking. As I checked in, another couple was returning to their room and I asked if they had needed parking and said that was one reason we had selected Prima - and they said”same for us!” and told me they had parked far away. We left the car in a pay lot several blocks away and made a couple trips with our luggage, but at 1.5 euros per hour 24/7 we didn’t want to leave the car there for our entire stay. There is free street parking about half a mile away, once we located that life was easier. Mikaela at the desk tried to help us with the parking situation but it’s complicated, as in any large city. We really, really liked our room, it was quiet, had a desk and ample space, with a coffee maker and kettle right outside in the hall. There is a private drive next to the entrance that made leaving with luggage easier as we staged our belongings by the door and parked super briefly to move them into the car. A heads up about the parking situation would have made a big difference for our initial stress level.
