Ruta del Sol Pet-friendly Vacations

I was extremely disappointed with the hotel because I kindly requested a partial refund due to the fact that I could not stay at the hotel at all due to a travel schedule conflict, and they refused to do that. Extremely disappointed and will not soon be visiting this hotel chain in the future. Expedia also let me down but blamed the hotel’s manager for ultimately refusing.

Honest review, I actually liked the stay! However, there were some things that I felt should be considered to be changed in the future. 1. The shower design aka the “turkish” shower is not so good. Everytime I showered, there was a the puddle of water on the floor due to half of the shower only vertically being covered. This is no matter how much I stayed on the covered side of the shower. 2. The soap and shampoo used should be changed. Yes, the might smell ok, not the best, but once lathered on body, the smell does not last and I feel like I showered with just water. 3. Towels smell like they were not washed with detergent, they smelled humid. Not bad, but definitely not like any detergent was used. 4. I’ve had some instances where front desk was very very slow and not sure why, but I hope it something that can be improved especially when it’s my first time there and was my very first impression when coming in and having to wait 10min for someone to help me. Now for the good stuff! 1. The staff is very friendly! Always saying hi, smiling, very welcoming. They treated us like royalty. 2. Rooms are very clean and great job done by cleaning staff, great view of the beach, and not noisy as walls are thick. 3. Breakfast buffet is so good I woke up everyday at 6am in excitement for the buffet! 4. Pool is beautiful and the waiters there are very attentive and treat you like you are VIP. Nonetheless, overall I give Oro Verde a solid 7/10 and will I come again? Absolutely
