Westerwald Yoga Retreats

The staff were very friendly. They offered a lot of tips on shopping and dining options a few meters away. Bed and pillows were extra comfortable.

Lovely hotel, location fine, parking easy. Decent bar area. Only criticism is the self check in desk is a bit inefficient. Had two staff who could have done the check in, in seconds, stood there watching us fumble around. Self check in should exist for when staff aren’t around (late arrivals) or away from the mann check in desk to make more “slots available” during peak times. Having 3 computers and 2 staff telling people how to use the computers and not able to check you in on their own computer is just silly. We also had to queue to check out to get parking validated, which seems like something a computer system you had to use to pay for parking could have done during check in… didn’t ruin the stay but several of our party commented on how woefully inefficient the existing process is.

Quite conflicted about this property. Overall, my stay was good but there were a few things that brought the experience down. Pros: location is good, close to everything but quiet area. Rooms are decent size. Swimming pool a plus. Generally rooms are quiet i.e, minimal neighbour noise. Cons: a Ryanair hotel: additional charges for sauna, bathrobe, slippers. Just reclassify as a 3 star maybe & this would be more acceptable. I had to move room as despite asking for quiet room, I was given one above the service entrance. Awakened at 4am by whole room vibrating as the laundry was collected. To be fair, I was moved to a nicer room the next day. However, in this room, the water was extremely hot in the sink and the shower head was leaking terribly. Again, to be fair, these issues were fixed the day I reported them. However, other aspects of service were not as good. Check in was lacklustre, it’s self check in which is fine but nothing explained: ie need to request room cleaning/clean cups/glasses, water in lobby, charges. And whilst I was moved & requested fixes, no-one ever followed up with me to check all was okay. Requests for clean glasses not fulfilled twice. And finally there was a weird vibrating noise from ceiling in new room what was not fixed (although seems there was an attempt as I spotted paint flecks on the floor). I was able to mask with pink noise so slept fine but again lack of follow up. Beds also quite firm. I would book again but hope for better service.

Very clean and accommodating. We arrived earlier then our check in. The staff allowed us to store our luggage.

A lovely place to stay. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, the hotel was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast is plentiful and super fresh and the staff ensure everything is topped up and nicely presented. The surrounding area is nice and very quiet. All round an excellent small hotel and very good value for money.

Understaffed restaurant.
