We were picked from our hotel at 5am in Cusco and driven to the train. The train ride was great. We arrived at Agua Calientes at 8:40am. Unfortunately, our guide (Williams) was not waiting for us. He finally showed up with 90mins delay with a late tour member. Even thought we had a tickets to enter at 9am we entered the site with significant delay when weather changed. We were rushed through the site by our tour guide. Luckily, we had second entry tickets (purchased separately) so were able to cover the gaps from the first visit. However we had to skip the lunch organized by Condor in Agua Calientes. The train ride was great again with good fashion show. The pickup from the train was very disorganized. We had to walk at night in a street without sidewalk for almost kilometer in heavy traffic to our bus to Cusco. Overall, Machu Picchu was amazing, however poor tour organization spoiled the great moment

Experience was overall OK. However, when we did arrive at Machu Pichu our guide was not there and we were told we had to wait for another person for one hour. You can imagine how frustrating that was, when six of us, friends and family had to wait at the entrance for 1.5 hr to enter Machu Picchu site. Our tickets for Machu Picchu were for 9 AM and we entered at 10:30 AM when the crowds were larger and weather started getting rainy. Our guide who showed up 1.5 hr later at the entrance, Williams was not good and we did not enjoy this tour. Transportation to Machu Pichu from Custco was good and Condor on that did a good job, Vista dome train experince was very good and we had alpaca fashion show during our ride. If other Condor guides were able to fix this issue and add us imiddiately to another groups and acoide wait taime, out visit to Machu Picchu would be much better. We did skip lunch at the restaurant Al Mipo as we did not feel it would be enjoyable.

The train ride was great and the site itself was beautiful. The train route is very scenic. Our guide was good, as well. Be prepared- it is a long day. We were picked up at our hotel a 1/2 hour earlier than originally stated and got back nearly 2 hours later (which may have been influenced by the heavy rain that was falling by the time we got back to Ollantaytambo).
