The town is not as great, it wasn’t a town at the top of my list to explore while in the area, but visiting El Picnic for a night was an unforgettable experience and definitely a highlight of our visit to the lake overall. ”

“Our stay at Eden was the most enjoyable we’ve had in all of Guatemala. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved stepping outside of my little cabin and smelling fresh herbs like basil, lavender, and oregano. Our cabin was adorable and the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable, safe, and like we were apart of the community. Judd and Maria were so friendly and gave us great recommendations of restaurants and things to do. There was even a restaurant at the hotel with yummy……

“We arrived just after 10pm, when the garage closed only moments before. The staff was still present and re-opened it for us. We used the covered gated parking area. The hotel is centrally located for Mazatenango proper. How water, fresh towels, soaps, and a complementary bottle of water were waiting for us. The area is safe and secure. There is a nice wall unit a/c which cranked out some super cold air. Next time I am in the area, I plan to stay at this hotel!”

“I never think the hotel will be that great to when I walking In there the hotel is super beautiful and is great staff is great and friendly is a small hotel not that crowded is great compare to others hotel I stay there I will go back when I go back to that city you will like to take pictures everywhere is close to everything breakfast was great coffee and everything Oscar was a great person greeting us and friendly we went for for 3 nights but decided to stay another night to relax . Great……
