"Best place to stay in Asakusa!"
This was the third place we stayed in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) it was outstanding. The room is a good size and very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen (stove, sink, kettle, rice maker, full size fridge, microwave, dishes, etc), ipod deck, cable tv, wi-fi (upon request but no extra charge), lots of storage space for clothes and bathroom items, robes, slippers, and a big shower. The bed is also very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel also offers free bicycle usage. The hotel is located directly in the middle of the old town of Asakusa with the Sensoji temple around the corner. The Asakusa train station is within walking distance (5 min). All in all a superb place to stay!

"Central location, good room, excellent views!"
The hotel is located an easy walk from the Metro station, just across the road from the markets. Perfect location for those looking to explore the area and do some shopping! Easy walk to the station even with large suitcases. The room is a good size for Tokyo, and the bathroom was quite large. After spending a week at the ski resorts and showering in a tiny little cube I thought this shower was pretty amazing. The rooftop terrace has excellent views of the sky tower, and particularly at night.

"Great ryokan in the middle of it all"
A great experience with the kids to experience a ryokan-style room. The convenience of a number of restaurants, shops and sights make this a great place to be booked at. It was also good they had free wifi and vending machines just in case anyone got hungry. Having said that with a 24hour bento box store and sushi restaurant around the corner, you won't really need much in terms of food. My only gripe is the fact they never clean your room, even once in our 7 day stay.

"Well located and comfortable"
Was a good surprise. Well located next to the Senso-ji temple, shops, small parks and close to Skytree tower plus at walking distance from train and metro stations. Easy to reach from both airports. The room was small and w/o any decor style but quiet, well equipped and spotless. The breakfast (either japanese or western continental) is very good and if you feel for a relax, at the top floor it has a massage area and a japanese open bath with a view to the river. They even considered washing machines (free) and driers (¥100) for your laundry and a very nice thought, never seen in any other hotel: complimentary fabric refreshener in every room. The personnel was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended for the budget traveller.

"Right in the middle of Asakusa!"
If you are looking for a traditional Ryokan right in the heart of Asakusa, this is the place! Just steps away from shopping, restaurants and the subway. We wanted a family-friendly place that was close to everything, and Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa provided just that. Our tatami room fit the four of us perfectly. We had a private bathroom, but at times would use the shared facilities which were very good too. They offer a Japanese or Western breakfast in the mornings which was excellent. The staff speak English very well, and are super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

"Good hotel in a good area"
The Agora Place Asakusa was a good base for my recent trip to Tokyo. The room was clean, the hotel was mostly quiet and the staff was helpful whenever I needed assistance. I was traveling by myself so the room size was not an issue, but I will caution those thinking "Oh, my friend and I can share a single" that the rooms are bite-sized. The bed was a double, but two people and their luggage would have been packed in tightly. If you book a "basic" room toiletries aren't included but you can buy or rent most things. There was a price chart in the room and all the prices to rent/buy are extremely reasonable, though I didn't rent any items. I brought my own toiletries so it wasn't an issue. Hotel is very close to Sensoji and the Ginza and Asakusa metro lines so traveling around Tokyo was a breeze. There's lots of convenience stores and restaurants close by. Overall I really enjoyed my stay!

"I'm to tall for most of Japan"
First the room and service was great. But, although the bed was long enough, it was so soft my back became very sore, same for another tall people in our group. I should have slept on the floor. The toilet although high tech was tiny, like for a child. Room climate control was the best I've seen. It shows that service is their top priority. I'm just to tall.

Pocket Guide: Asakusa, Tokyo Shopping Hotels

Today visited for its Sensoji Temple, Five Storied Pagoda, and the Nakamise traditional shopping arcade, this festive neighborhood once was the city’s hot spot for drinking and dancing. Though it never experienced the development that Ginza and others have, it holds its own with an artistic community and some of the city’s top attractions.
