“The staff are what make the place. They will go above and beyond for you! It’s also beautiful! The rooms are clean and quiet. Not the fanciest hotel in the world but comfortable and comforting. Nothing left to be desired.”

“There is a cook there called Benson, that for sure is employee of the year. Always does everything according instructions and keeps time as well.”

“Lovely setting - nice touch having flowers on the bed and turn down service. The units all look inwards to the pool which was used regularly by us. At night the pool has lights and makes for a romantic swim. There was no jug to make tea or coffee or facilities to cook yet there was a fry pan, pots and dishes. Even microwave would have been useful. The restaurant wan't operational - we would have used it. Breakfast was delivered to the room daily and was good.”

“El hotel es muy lindo y está bien ubicado, aunque se llama Beach Resort pero no esta en primera fila de playa. Solo hay wifi en la recepción. El desayuno es bastante pobre, nada que ver con la foto que muestran. La pileta cierra a las 6pm lo cual impide usarla luego de la playa”

“This hotel has amazing potential and was probably once quite grand. The facilites are tired and in need of maintenance and updates. We were there out of season so it was very quiet and the staff seemed a little challenged in knowing what to do. The beach is great and the grounds are super. I would stay here again but I’d check my room and test the shower before settling on my room. ”

“One thing very unique to this property it the entertainment (animation) team. Those guys, are over and beyond anyone expectations and makes this location a unique destination. They've activities all day, from dancing, aquarobics and live acrobatic and music shows, and all that for FREE, at no extra cost ... amazing. Also, location is within walking distance to a lot of attractions and dining places. However, the property need to improve on the following: 1) a face lift, a bit of renovation 2)……

“I stayed at Backpackers before this is not backpacker anymore. Price of beer is $4 cocktail $8. Not eco anymore they have English toilets. Price of room is higher than nearby B&B. Everyone who was staying was complaining about the prices. This place used to be really nice and affordable and staff were friendly. Even new staff don’t seem to like working there. WiFi didn’t work at all so I couldn’t work. ”

“Driftwood is a really chilled hotel right on the beach. We had a lovely couple of nights to end our Kenyan trip. Take this place for what it is and you'll have a great time. The staff are so friendly and the food is really nice. Enjoyed it”
