The staff was next level, the cleanliness was top tier, the amenities are exactly what we were looking for for our honeymoon. We are avid snorkelers, to our surprise black rock had variety of fish and even turtles! I will say, I wish they had let us know about the Luau that they host and on what schedule, but I should have easily planned ahead and found that out myself. “Location and pool area are fantastic but the food at the pool bar is awful. The hotel needs updating too. The elevator and hallways smell old and musty. Our washing machine didn’t clean the clothes at all and the oven literally took 30mins to preheat. We had an ocean view but it was not direct and for what we paid for the room, I felt ocean view was false advertisement. You can’t see it from the living room. Bartenders and staff were fantastic though.”

“Great unit and location. As others stated the unit is dated but it was very clean and has everything you need as well as extras like beach equipment, chairs, a cooler and lots of kitchen essentials. “I was very happy to find this good value for money hotel when I came to Maui for the first time. My room number is 301 located at the corner of the building and for two consecutive nights the strong wind outside kept knocking on my door so I couldn't sleep well all night. My experience this time was really bad. Fortunately, I only stayed for two nights and hoped to leave here as soon as possible.”
