No Extra's

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The location was very convenient to shopping and restaurants. The tub was nice and worked well except for 1 broken control.
Cons: Attitude of the staff could be better geared towards "what can I do to make you more comfortable", vs." I cant do that for you."
The room was ok. The TV clearly had a broken speaker and made it almost impossible to watch. Everytime I stay away from home, I request extra pillows and blanket, yet this was the first hotel I was told that I already had more than average amount of pillows and NO I could not have anymore. The clerk told me" he was not allowed " to give me anymore pillows. He also told me that the pull out couch probably had a blanket on it so I should check. These simple request would have added greatly to my comfort level.

The Need-of-Repair Hotel

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything...including the so-called continental breakfast...very cheap!!!
Location: OK
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Many items in the room needed to be repaired and wasn't taken care while we were there. Example broken chair, broken toilet, bed sheets with holes in them. We also found out that we could have gotten the room cheaper if we had called the hotel instead of using Expedia. Disappointed!!!

Never again will I stay at one of these!

Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Not much at all
Cons: Everything
Location: St. Charles, Missouri. Next door to bass pro
The only good thing about our stay at America's Best Value Inn was the Bass Pro next door! The bath tub faucet would not stop dripping real hard and fast all the time. The ice machine on the first floor was not working. I needed to get some extra cash for the day and didn't really want to stop by the bank, so i decided to use the atm machine in the lobby, and it was not in service. The pool water was freezing cold, but we swam anyway. While we were swimming, I was talking to another man that was staying in the hotel, and he said that when he checked in, the front desk told him they would not honor his $89.00 per nt rate that he was quoted on line unless he had it in writing. Sure enough, when I checked out and looked at my bill, they had charged me 99 per nt also. Luckily, I saved my confirmation email on my phone and showed it to him. The man got upset, and never once apologized or anything. Finally after about 15 minutes, he credited my bill $20. This experience has made it to where I will never consider staying at one of these places again!

Good value for the price

Posted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Amenities, location, water pressure in the shower
Cons: Bedside lighting didn't work at all (neither lamp), bathroom door needs replaced or repaired, room could be cleaner
Location: Next door to Bass Pro and a shopping center
Hotel has a great location, right next door to Bass Pro and a shopping center. Room had lots of amenities -- microwave, fridge, and I especially appreciated having actual water pressure in the shower. However, the hotel does show signs of a lack of maintenance and upkeep -- my bedside light didn't work at all, the bathroom door worked but was seriously damaged, and the cover of one of the beds was badly stained (ew). I would stay again, but I'll be careful to check everything out before I settle in.

America's BEST Value...

Posted Jun 3, 2013
Location: Walking distance to Bass Pro Shop, TrailHead Brewery, Starbucks, and Ameristar Casino...
This hotel was a great value for the money. The staff was very accommodating, the room was spacious, the facility well-maintained, and it was right next door to a Bass Pro Shop. What else could you ask for..?

Great place to stay, Great Value

Posted Nov 6, 2012
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Parking
This was a great place to stay, very helpul and friendly staff, great location easy access to interstate, right next door to Bass Pro Shop, the only thing was parking was a little tight up front, but you could use BPS parking just as easy and almost as close. Breakfast was OK, pretty typical hotel breakfast. Will use this hotel everytime Im in that part of town.

Very disappointed, will not be staying again.

Cons: too many to mention
Was charged an extra fee for my dog after they "made an exception" for my lab. Had to stay in a smoking room because of it, when I'm an ex-smoker. Then was charged another set of taxes upon checkout after Expedia took their whopping amount already! Not very "value" priced for being America's Best Value Inn. I could have stayed at the Embassy Suites for what I ended up paying!! Which I was told was "a very good rate". In this case you don't get what you pay for! I'm moving to that area and I did not have a good experience AT ALL. Thanks for nothing and a load of laundry to get the smell out of my clothes!

terrible stay

Posted Feb 6, 2012
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Customer service
Location: Awsome 1 minute from casino..
Between the spiders and hair in the Jacuzzi in the first room and the jets going out in the second room would not recommend the Jacuzzi suite. Then when I left I got a call saying I stole a pillow and I told them i did not she cut me off to call me a liar and tell me they knew how many pillows were in the room. This was the worst customer service I've had in years... I will never stay at this hotel or and sister hotels with the same name. And the guy when I checked in told me it was an awsome complimentary breakfast was worse than dog food...
