“My room number was 105, 1st floor in Alleghany Springs. The dishwasher needed to be reattached to the wall, the 2 screws were clearly sitting on the counter above, but this was not repaired before our stay. Each time opened, the DW jarred forward, ugh! The room was clean, & adequate for the 4 of us, realizing that sofa beds are never the most comfortable. ”

“Love the location! Disliked the elevator not working and the we were on the 4th floor…. Luggage was a nightmare. Our room had one toilet paper roll and no one to call for more, they charge for towels to be switched out. Was not that impressed with Rimfire. ”

“Overall, a very nice room and property. We had a couple problems with electronic key access (to our room and to the front door). While inconvenient, staff always addressed the problems quickly. Make sure you read the check-in instructions and look over maps so you know where to check, etc. Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House.”

“We had plenty of room for 11 people and we could spread out. The kids had a great time and the kitchen was well stocked, would recommend to any one.”

“I went there to propose to my now fiancé, the plan was for friends and family to arrive first and by the time I proposed on the mountain our friends to be waiting to surprise her. The staff was super accommodating with an early check in and the place was great, very large and ski on ski off from western territories. Highly recommend if you're there with a large group.”

“Black Bear Lodge was a great location for a reunion of friends and family that have been skiing together for nearly forty years. We love Snowshoe and the lodge was exceptionally convenient to Cupp Run. We had 14 adults and two children and we were all comfortable. Our host was great with communication and provided everything in the lodge needed for enjoyment. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking and serving utensils and there were plenty of extra towels and blankets. We could not have had a……
