“We relied on reviews to stay at this property. Along the way, the road there made us skeptical as to what to expect. However, following the signs and arriving at the white gates opened us up to paradise. There are 2 pools, one salt with a jacuzzi, and the other enormous and elegant, complete with bar service. “The Maeco B and B is right at the centre of Ortigia and convenient for easy walking to restaurants, shops and all the beautiful sites that the island has to offer. We were welcomed by Alisia who was very helpful and gave us a guide to all the places to see. The next day wee met Martina the owner who was also very welcoming. “This is probably the best hotel my husband and I have ever stayed. I have written many reviews and never have I ever had the pleasure to write such a glowing compliment about a place we have stayed . We spent only one night here, but we have been overwhelmed by the hospitality of the hotel staff . We were greeted by Giuseppe at the front desk who upgraded us to a suite and very kind.
