“Selina was a great place to stay, as within 15 minutes driving (or less) from the property you can access amazing places to swim, eat tasty and affordable lunches and see monkeys. You can also easily hike to waterfalls. The pool at Selina is really nice. We were a bit worried when we arrived that it would be too loud/a lot of partying but they have a strict quiet policy at 11pm and our room (the family room) was very spacious and quiet. “We ended up staying here for a total of almost 2 weeks. We would stay here and then check out to go do treks in the jungle, but then always return to this hotel. The property is beautiful, kept in perfect condition. Everything is very clean, there is always hot water. They have a free baggage storage service, that's nice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of pots and pans, dishes etc. There's a nice outside area where you can sit and enjoy a view of the……

“The tours like the safari were overpriced for the area. The rule to take shoes off in areas like the lobby was pretty inconvenient. Food variety for people with dietary restrictions was limited.”

We enjoyed the screened in room right on the river and hearing the rain. However, it gets very warm and there is no fan. Food is excellent. The staff (except for the activities director) was unfriendly. Acted like we were inconvencing them. Need better trading. No one on the staff spoke English.
