“We visited 3 VRBOs while in Costa Rica. This was the best of the 3. Very nice accomodation; quiet, private, well appointed. Samara is a relaxing, easy going town with a fantastic beach and easy drive from Liberia. Alex and Carol were very helpful in preparing us for our trip (first time in Costa Rica), Leonie, the property manager, took care of any concerns immediatly. Wish we would have stayed longer.”

“This house is absolutely perfect for big families. Everyone has their private space while also having large common areas to share with each other. The “casita” is a plus of this rental. An independent 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment ideal for teenagers or a couple with kids. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach (about 200 yds) and great amenities (kayak, paddle board, boogie boards, bikes, board games, and more!) Definitely coming back. Great value for money.”

“My family and I truly enjoyed this house. It is a bit of a trek up into the woods but so worth it. The house is very clean and fairly well appointed. It was very easy to communicate with the manager with regards to getting in and settled as well as recommendations in the area. We were visited almost daily by a troop of monkeys which was incredible. We highly recommend this house and the town of Samara”

“The property is just as pictured in the listing and is beautiful. Communicating with the property manager was a bit of a challenge. They list a phone number but if you don't have a working cell phone when you land, the number is useless. They suggest communicating by WhatsApp and that is fine, as long as you have the internet, which you will not have in your vehicle. “We were 3 families with 12 total. The pictures depict the property perfectly (and it is even more beautiful). We had excellent communication via “WhatsApp” prior to our arrival and during our stay. “This STUNNING Home was everything. Beautiful views cleaned and very peaceful with all the amenities needed. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. Ms. Nury and her family are very nice people. They are there to assist in many ways. They are such beautiful people. I met her father who lives in front of house he was very nice also. If ever back in Costa Rica I will stay here again. “The home was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the pool. It’s walking distance from town but far enough away you have lots of peace and quiet. “We had a good time and would recommend to others. Easy walk to beach and quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was in good shape and had adequate dishes, cutlery and pots and pans. Grill was a nice plus. “Pros: Super cute condo. Decent sized bedrooms, friendly neighbors, the property manager is friendly and super responsive (thanks Isamar!), the pool is awesome, good security, kitchen pretty well stocked. Cons: the common areas are small for 6 people, the walk to downtown Samara takes more like 15 minutes on a busy road (it’s about .6 miles), the coffee maker is undersized for 6 guests, and there are no lounge chairs/comfy seating outside. Minimal cleaning supplies available.”

“We had a wonderful 6 night stay in mid-February and it was ideal for our family get-away (adult kids and partners). The house is wonderful, well maintained, and plenty of room for everyone. “So, I want to be careful when writing this review. I’m not going to slam this place and say it’s total junk. It’s not. It is also not for anyone fancy, or anyone looking to enjoy a place near Sámara, and treat it as a home base. We stayed one night, and that was it. Carlos is a wonderful man who seems to be the manager. Very sweet, and you can tell he maintains the grounds and pool. “The Hideaway Hotel is a wonderful place. My room was large and airy. A private patio looked out lush gardens.
