Expected more from Intercontinental brand

Stayed 3 nights. Upgraded to a junior suite -- great offer. The sofa bed and general furnishing were not up to the level of Intercontinental. No Gift Shop -- need to drive to near-by convenience store. Only one restaurant and bar? Did not use them so no idea. Service was prompt but not impressive. Parking is Valet only - no other choice. Quick retrieve but hassle for most people. Travel to Los Angeles every few weeks -- would stay at other hotels.

Friendly Staff and Great Service

The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and professional. They made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The cost for parking was suprisingly high. We enjoyed our stay. A nice place to if you need to be close to west LA.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Close to UCLA, Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Malibu.

Not bad, quiet, family oriented

Intercontinental was a very nice hotel. Clean and all staff friendly and accomodating. Courtesy car and free coffee a big plus. Pay as you go Wi Fi not a plus, even have to pay when in the lobby. Quieter hotel, not for people watching but good for business traveling and families.

Loved it!

We stayed at the Intercontinental Century City for a week in August. The hotel staff were extrememly helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable. The fitness center was open 24 hours which made it easy to exercise every day of our vacation. The hotel is centrally located, just a mile from Beverly Hills and close to Santa Monica and the beaches. I’d definitely stay there again.

Better than I expected

The hotel staff, service and facilities was better than I had expected (I based my choice from pictures on the internet and reviews from other travelers). I will stay at this hotel anytime I go back to Los Angelos. Great price for luxury treatment.

Would definitely recommend/return

We really enjoyed this hotel, mainly because of the staff. Usually, we check in and out of hotels and don’t bother anyone. This trip, when we arrived in our room, the A/C read 72 degrees. We dropped it down, left the room for several hours but when we returned, the room was still warm. I called the front desk and minutes later a mechanic came up, fixed the problem and called an hour later to confirm that everything was still okay. I made use of the Concierge services more than once and they were fantastic. Also, you receive coffee everyday for the coffee maker. Twice the coffee wasn’t replaced but I called and within minutes someone was there to replenish. The valet is there to take your car the moment you arrive and you never wait more than a few minutes for them to bring you the car. We were really impressed with all the staff. The hotel itself is attractive and well-maintained. We were in a junior suite with a balcony. The rooms were spacious and well-kept. The restaurant was beautiful and the food delicious. What we really liked is that it had a lot to offer - pool, spa, bar, lounge, restaurant, gym, etc., but it wasn’t a massive place. When you enter the hotel, the elevators are right in front of you, quietly tucked in from the lobby. In other words, you don’t have to walk 5 miles to get to the elevator. Great place - highly recommend the InterContinental.

Luxourious hotel in a great location

We enjoyed our stay here. While we were on a vacation, this hotel caters very much to the business travelers in the area... not much of a nightlife during the weekend, which was OK with us. The rooms were great, but you could tell the hotel was on the older side but updated - no mirrors in the bedroom, only in the bathroom; too few outlets in the room - little things like that. I’d stay here again, though.

Get your wallet out

The hotel is beautiful. The pool is nice, lots of lounge chairs, hot tub is great. There are complimentary apples in the spa lounge. Don’t use the hotel phone. We did. 7.5 minutes for $26. The business office on the main floor charges $2 a minute on the computer and $1 per laser print. Ouch. We rented a car. There is no on-street parking and no self parking. Be prepared to tip the valet as you come and go. Century City is petty quiet on the weekends and there is not a lot of places to walk near the hotel. Nice views from 5th floor of smoggy LA. We loved the wall papered room, french doors, sun deck patio, comfy bed, and spacious bathroom.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Great location if you are doing business in Century City area. Close to the 10 freeway and 405.

Friendly Staff and Convenient

I stayed at the Intercontinental Century City and it did not disappoint. The concierge staff was friendly and very helpful, hotel staff was very courteous, the hotel is perfectly situated, and the concierge car was a great perk which saved us on cab fare. If you do not know where to eat, ask the concierge, they will point you in the right direction. The fitness center was top notch and the pool was nice. Room was clean, cozy, and spacious. Great place for business or pleasure.

Traveler's tip on dining

You must visit The Foundry restaurant in the Melrose District. Great food! The best meal I have ever had. Very interesting flavor combos. Priced well and staff is very friendly.

Very Impressed

I was staying in Intercontinental from 24.06-29.06.09! Everything was very good, especially my room. I had Deluxe Suite: big(2 rooms), comfortable and well equiped room! It is situated in a good district, not far from Beverly Hills... There is a big mall nearby. Parking is very expensive(about 30$)

An excellent place to locate in Los Angeles

Excellent structure and service. Very well located (near Santa Monica Boulevard, half the way between Holywood and the beach). Gentle and distinguished, also very practical. With all the Intecontinental hotels impronta. Highly reccomended.

Best views ever!

I had the best views of the city from my room with three twelve foot sections of foor to ceiling windows in the room spanning two walls. Best hotel for a claustrophobe, and a delight for the rest of us.

Rose Bowl Week at the InterContinental

My family visited LA for the first time and had a wonderful experience at the InterContinental Hotel, Century City. It was convenient and accessible to freeways, points of interest, shopping, airport, etc. It was extremely luxurious and well appointed. Our only complaint was that a standard fare breakfast for four - eggs, meat, bread, coffee, tea, juice was extremely over priced. No other meals the entire week were so expensive and of such average quality. Otherwise, the hotel and staff MORE THAN accommodated our every wish.

Not impressed

Location of hotel is just minutes away from Century City where the food, shopping and cinemas are. Reception when checked in was ok. But housekeeping was bad. Drinking glasses, coffee, sugar and milk were not replenished. Left overs were still on study table when we returned in the night. Robe was not hung but still on the sofa. It seemed housekeeping was doing a hurried job cuz certain parts of the room was not vacuumed, eg: under the table. There’s a bad crack on the basin and could have cut someone if not careful. The hotel did nothing to repair it. Not even plastering it for the time being. Valet at $32 per night is very expensive. But, the best service and smiling faces we got were actually the valets and porters.
