"Excellent location"
We weren't exactly sure where the hotel was when we booked it, but we were pleasantly surprised when we found it. A few minute walk from Waverly Station (up LOTS of steps), and we were there. What a great location! A few minutes walk to the castle, several great places to eat right close, and St. Giles Kirk about 30 seconds away. It was amazing! The hotel was clean, room was comfortable and quiet, and we had an incredible view of Edinburgh from our huge window. Don't expect giant rooms in an Old Town hotel, and we couldn't complain, anyway. We were in room 515 at the end of a hall, and it was great. Hotel has a restaurant on site, though we never used it. Our stay in Edinburgh was made much more pleasant by staying at the Fraser Suites.

"Nice hotel in the centre of Edinburgh "
All was good apart from having to pay for the parking especially when it was stated on the Expedia confirmation that parking was free. Very disappointing.

"Great location, lovely staff, very comfortable room"
Hotel just as described. Lovely period feel in the public rooms, library was a welcoming space and nice to have coffee/tea/water available. The room was very spacious, comfy bed, nice to have a sofa too. Convenient location, quiet enough but walking distance to all the main tourist spots and public transport.

"Central Edinburgh Hotel"
We had a very comfortable stay at Apex Waterloo Place in Edinburgh. The hotel is situated close to Waverley rail station and is in easy strolling distance of the New Town shops and restaurants as well as the Old Town. It's handy too for an evening out at the Edinburgh Playhouse or the cinemas. The room was a good size and comfortable, with nice views of Edinburgh. The staff are friendly and helpful and respond to requests for different pillows, warmer duvets etc. very quickly. The bar is nice too, and the restaurant is very stylish. We also enjoyed spending time in the SPA on site, which has a nice steam room, a sauna, jakuzzi and pool. Not huge for laps etc., but good for a splash around. This is my favourite Edinburgh hotel, and is part of a really nice chain too, and I have had a happy stay at the Grassmarket Apex hotel too - which has a fantastic view of the castle from the restaurant.

"Cool Scottish celebrity themed rooms"
Very nice clean and cool hotel. My only gripe would be that there was no room service, although I believe this was down to the fact the bar downstairs was so busy. Overall would recommend

"Gorgeous Hotel with incredibly friendly staff!"
We were meant to stay at the hotel back in December but could make it up due to flooding in Carlisle. We rearranged to last weekend 23/24th January and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous lovely high ceilings and really nicely decorated with a boutique feel. We stayed in room 3 right on the top floor, lovely clean bathroom and bed was really comfy it's the first time I've slept right the way through in months- but that may of been due to the alcohol! There must be a boiler or something just outside the room because in the morning kept making noises as I assume other guests were in and out of the shower. But as we were there for a weekend we were getting up early to get out and sight see was no issue to us. You could not fault the breakfast service as soon as we reached the bottom of the stairs we were greeted and seated, so much choice on the menu that even me a fussy eater was spoilt for choice. It's the little touches at the hotel that make it so nice to stay in the "honesty bar" is a lovely feature and the really friendly staff. It's a short walk from the centre of town where all the shops are roughly 20 mins and there's bars restaurants about 10 mins away open until 2/3 am so again your spoilt for choice. I would highly recommend and definitely be back!

"Unique boutique hotel in city centre"
I stayed in the Tokyo room which was lovely. Very spacious and clean with a unique layout. I especially loved the bathtub. I got a nice vive from the restaurant/bar downstairs, very cozy. The staff in the bar were lovely as well and offered suggestions on things to do during my visit.
