“Overall everything was nice. Room was spacious, not new but very cozy. WiFi is OK. Staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful. I accidentally arrived one day earlier but the check in staff handled it perfectly. Two restaurants in the lobby were nice. Generally the Egyptian cooks well for both traditional dishes and foreign dishes. ATM right at the front door which both foreign currency cash exchange and money withdraws can be done, which is very convenient. Little convenience store,……

“Great place to stay at but the staff is not the best! On my last day, a service personnel knocked on my door and while I was replying, he just walked in onto the room and I was standing in my underwear! ”

“A very well equipped hotel with nice restaurants and bar, and also a swimming pool. Somehow it’s quite difficult to find some nice restaurants in Luxor though it’s a touristique spot, so I’m happy that I can find some good food here. There’s live music every night in the courtyard, surprisingly. The staff are friendly too.”

“This cruise exceeded my expectations. Spacious cabins, wonderful sundeck, excellent food, smooth cruising, small capacity relative to other boats and service oriented staff made for a very enjoyable time. At first I was going to book my own guides, but opted instead to book the cruise's siteseeing package. Glad I did, Hamad our guide was outstanding and there can be delays in the cruise do to timing in the river locks which could make coordination with outside guides difficult and stressful. ……

“We booked the Royal Lily through Hotels.com rather than as part of a wider tour. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. I would strongly recommend travelling with Movenpick if you are visiting Egypt independently rather than as part of a tour. There are very few reviews for Movenpick Royal Lily so I'll try and give as much information as I can. Airport pick up We arranged a pick up via Movenpick, which meant we were on board and settled in by 10.30am. A bit pricey but worth……

“Disclaimer: we were moved to the Steigenberger Minerva, so the review covers that ship. However, the Royale is most likely quite comparable as they are in the same class and are operated by the same company. Overall, we really liked this cruise. The ship is in great condition, felt like both the common areas and the rooms have been recently renovated (or are very well maintained). “The ship is very nice, the room was pretty confortable, the service and attention was exceptional and the food diverse and delicious. In general Is a very good ship that I would recommend a lot. We also got a free upgrade to a suite. The only part I would have liked to know before booking was the sightseeing was not included in the itinerary, so it must be paid on board. I would have liked that it was mentioned in the same itinerary and the extra cost per person per day. ”
