The view of the Inverness Castle from our hotel room was amazing, the look changes with the clouds, the sun, the evening lights... The room was very spacious, a suite. It's a older building so the floor is not very even. The bathroom old tub is cute but not so practical for showers, you're wrap by the curtain and water on the floor.

We stay at the Cluanie Inn quite often as it is a handy stop off before taking the ferry to the Western Isles. It is always excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff, a good menu, especially the Indian food and the rooms are beautifully maintained and a good size, which is great if you have a big Labrador. Midge the Labrador loves the Cluanie Inn. We have stayed at all of the Black Sheep hotels, and I can't speak highly enough of them.

It was a challenge to get in contact with the host to get checkin instructions. We had to place an international call as they claim they could not communicate via Hotels.com. Everyone else I dealt with could. Parking was ok once we got into the unit and got the parking permit. Great location as restaurants shopping and sight seeing were all walkable.
