“Overall experience was nice that the surroundings and leisure club are pretty good. The thing we didn't expect is that there are some stairs going down to the room that we need to carry the luggage ourselves, which is not notified when booking. Also the air smells moldy in the corridor downstairs. But the room itself is tidy and clean.”

“The staff were all fantastic couldn't fault any of them. The bar area is great and has a good atmosphere.”

“Avoid! We stayed mid-Sept (2026) and were excited to try an adventure of a room 'in a pub'. It was a horrific experience and we departed early. We (3 women) had the courtyard triple room (#23). As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a dampness and a strong smell of mildew. We thought heat would help but the radiator would not turn on; we went to the bar staff (part of the problem is that there is no on-site manager to resolve issues) and the bar staff told us the heat is not turned on until……

“Its a little off the beaten path but quite cool.”

“Very helpful staff!”

“Lovely property in every way. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Pauline, Chris, and their pups Penny, and Max were all wonderful hosts.”

“My only criticism was that the room had noise from central heating or air conditioning all night - it was very disturbing and the only drawback from a lovely visit.”

“Carpet on room was soiled.”

“Room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was so delicious and included all homemade breads. The owners were so friendly and helpful during our stay.”

“When we arrived, night porter very helpful. The only issue with the room was that the main light did not work which was also connected to the bedside lamps. The breakfast is very good, I ordered poached eggs on toast my son had the small full Irish, Macrina out waitress was very polite and informative. Would definitely recommend it.”

“This place is absolutely magical! The property is enchanting, the hostess fascinating and the breakfast out of this world! The shepherd’s huts are so charming, I guess you could call it “glamping”? The one thing I would say is that my knees aren’t great and I found the steps to the huts a little tricky, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, but other than that it’s a 10 out of 10! I wish I could have stayed longer.”

“Lovely apartment the staff where amazing as always we were lucky enough to have a sea view apartment fabulous view location of the talbot suite and hotel is great for local amenities, the food and staff in the hotel are excellent have stayed there many times and will continue to do so , thank you to all the staff for making it memorable”
