The only reason I didn't rate this as a ten is that when we checked in and went to the room - which we were told was ready for us - the bed was unmade and had clearly not been cleaned. After a wait, we were given another room but after a very long international flight, were very tired and just wanted to unload our luggage. After this initial glitch, our stay was very nice.

Close to Central Station for all the tram rides. We were assigned to a room without an outside view except the garden. I reserved a room with an outside view.

I did not like this hotel at all. The front desk was very rude and not helpful. I arrived and there was no one waiting to be helped. The male at the front desk asked me to take a seat and ignored us for 10 minutes. I went up again to another front desk rep and I told her what happened and she said they were helping someone else with multiple rooms. I had multiple rooms as well and this person arrived after me. Anyway, the second room was not ready and it was 3pm. While waiting for the room, we went to the sports bar sofa area. As my mom sat there, a rat ran across the area. My mom yelled and told staff. The staff tried to find the rat but it went into the furniture. Lastly, I asked if they had a shuttle bus which they said yes. However, they refused to tell me that the shuttle bus is not from their hotel. It is a shuttle that goes around all the hotels around the airport. Thankfully a man offered to take my group of 7 as we could not wait for this shuttle.

After 2 weeks, I still have not been refunded my security deposit. We stayed on 2 separate occasions & neither has been refunded. The hotel is under renovations & it was quite noisy throughout the daytime. The staff was very quick to move our room when we brought it to their attention which was great.

Super slow check in process. Not many enough staff at reception. Room wasn’t available not only for us but many others on the day we arrived. Renovation was going on at the hotel. Lights were out many times during the stay. We had to call reception every time the lights were out.

Wife and I stayed here four nights in early April. The location is excellent -- our room was quiet -- and the bed was comfortable. The downside was we arrived early and was told we could have a room, but must pay $15 per hour until check-in time at 3:30 p.m. I think that is excessive. Try not to arrive early. We didn't eat any dinners at the roof-top restaurant so can't comment on that.

Great hotel in a convenient location
Very comfortable rooms. It was great to have interconnecting rooms for a family of four. The hotel is very conveniently located for travelling around Amsterdam and to get the train back to Schipol.
