Pool DisappointingPosted Nov 15, 2015
We stayed at the hotel as an outing for my granddaughters to swim in the pool. They were so excited and ran to the pool only to find the entire room housing the pool freezing. My daughter-in-law had to wear a coat in order to sit in the pool area to watch them. The temperature of the pool was no warmer. The girls had me feel their hair and I think there were icicles! Needless to say, they couldn't swim and were very disappointed. In the hotel's favor was the fact the front desk personnel were very kind and apologetic. The manager did give us a discount on our stay.

Price Gouging for Parent WeekendPosted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: The staff was pleasant.
Cons: Updated facility and cleaner rooms.
Location: Briarwood Mall and U of M campus nearby.
Booked the hotel 8 months in advance for U of M Parent Weekend. Have usually had a good experience with Comfort Inn in other locations in the past. Arrived late at night and found that although the staff was pleasant, the facility and, especially the room, was not! The room had ripped carpet, non-working air system, hair in sink and shower, and, it seemed, all of the extra furniture in the building was crammed into the room (three non-matching chairs, three lamps, etc. could barely move in the room.) Husband commented that the room had all the furniture of a suite. Very dated and unpleasant facility. Will not stay here again.

Very pleasant comfortable stay.Posted Oct 31, 2015
Pros: The staff were friendly. The breakfast was great to set us up for a busy day. Hotel was very convenient for the airport coach shuttle.
Cons: The carpet in the room had a few stains. The main light switch didn't appear to work but we just used the bedside lights.
Location: Ann Arbor has a fantastic art gallery and 2 museums that we visited. There is also some lovely architecture. We went to the Motown Museum in Detroit.
I was visiting my daughter who is at U of M for the year as an exchange student and traveled over to Ann Arbor for a flying 4 day trip. The hotel was clean and tidy and my room was very adequate for the price. The bed was wonderfully comfortable to fall into after mad days of sight seeing! The staff were happy for my daughter to stay and even to have breakfast with me although the booking was in my name only. I would definitely stay there again if I had the good fortune to travel to the US to visit my daughter again.

Pros: We thought it was a good location, a good price- and a good reputation
We enjoyed the Comfort Inn - especially the comfortable bed, comforter, and pillows-

Nice hotel, close to I-94Posted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Pool, Breakfast, nice Staff, nice bed
Cons: Clean mold out of shower, get door to close when you leave.
Staff, Breakfast and Swimming Pool were outstanding. Cleanliness of bathroom was good except for mold in bathtub/shower area. Did not put new bag out each day for ice which is minor but irritating. Bed was very comfortable and room was fairly quiet after the next-door party-ers were done.

Actually found this hotel on Expedia and stayed for one night. Due to a change in plans we decided to once again go to Expedia and booked at the same hotel. By coincidence, we got the same room and OUR ICE CREAM WAS STILL IN THE FREEZER! (I was happy)

Great for Visits to Univ. of MichiganPosted Sep 21, 2015
Very convenient location. Just off I-94 on State Street, which is a direct and easy drive to the heart of the University of Michigan. Nice accommodations in great condition. Helpful and pleasant staff. Shuttle next door to Michigan home games. Nice shopping mall within a very short distance, along with several good restaurants. My husband and I fully recommend this hotel.
